Each character is perfectly portrayed, and their personalities, reactions, and relation to the events of the plot sit securely within the pages. While there are many things about the story that work, what makes this story unique is the vivid and clear characterization of the each personality.
#FOXHOLE COURT PLOT FREE#
Why did I stay up until 4 am three nights in a row to finish these books? Why did I spend all my “free” time (by free time I mean time I was supposed to be working) thinking about these books? Why did I develop an obsession to the point where I growled at my phone for daring to disturb me with an incoming text while I was reading? What had captured me to thoroughly? So, naturally, I spent a week trying to parse out what made this story work. Suddenly I remembered what experiencing vivid and clear characters was like. After a string of did-not-finishes, re-reading these books was like a dip into the motivational pool. It reminded me of all the surprises and joy to find in novels. It was a story that had me falling in love with storytelling again.
#FOXHOLE COURT PLOT SERIES#
Now I really want to go on Amazon.Last week I re-read the All for the Game series by Nora Sakavic… and I am obsessed. Funny thing is, I actually don’t bother with sports in real life, but somehow I was on the edge of my seat reading the sports-related scenes in this one. Well that needs additional work, but I’m excited to see them play some more. That’s the point… bringing together a group of misfits that both hate and love each other and train them to become one single family on the field. They are messed up in their own respective ways.

And they all have such a huge presence in the story that it’s hard to not notice them or pay them no mind. This story is crazy, as are the majority of the characters. First time I tried reading it two years ago, I gave it a one-star-rating, so it could only go up from there. Going into a book having no expectations whatsoever means that there’s no way you can be crushed with disappointment. It takes time for it to appear, and even now I have no idea if it’s going where I think it is.īut seeing how popular this series is, I decided to give a second chance, with my friend Yusra, this time without expecting anything.īoy was that the way to go. The first time I picked it up, two years ago, I did so because I saw the theme ‘‘lgbt’’ in its book description, and I was desperately in need of a sexy gay ship.Īnd so when I read the first chapters and realized that no romance seemed to be developing between the main character and another guy, I started to lost interest. Not yet, anyway, though the author teases you here and there. One thing you do not have, however, is this: romance.
